PURE HOCKEY DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: FLORENCE SCHELLING - NORTHEASTERN (Freshman Goaltender; Oberengstringen, Switzerland). Schelling totaled 40 saves and held Bemidji State scoreless through all of regulation and overtime in NU’s 0-0 tie with BSU Friday for her first career shutout.

Northeastern University: Sophomore forwards Kristi Kehoe and Alyssa Wohlfeiler have combined for 9 of NU’s 11 goals so far tis season. The pair played on the same California Selects teams since 2004-05, and the chemistry appears to be paying off…NU’s two goalies have posted impressive numbers through four games. With two starts each, Sophomore Leah Sulyma and Freshman Florence Schelling both have a .96 GAA. Sulyma has a ..958 save percentage, and Schelling a .975…The Huskies are currently riding a four-game unbeaten streak, going 2-0-2 in their first four games. This is their longest unbeaten streak since 2003- 04, when the Huskies strung together a five-game streak from Jan. 18 through Feb. 6.
